Big and Bold
This very easy quilt is a really good one for beginners and will a breeze for more advanced quilters. Our sample is done in a throw size, but you can make yours bigger. This is a great project to use those fat quarters you've been collecting! Kit Available!
Fabric Requirements (Throw size):
13 Fat Quarters
Accent & Border 1 - 5/8 yard
Backing - 4 2/3 yard
Binding - 5/8 yard

This pattern is a blast from the past and could possibly be the same style apron your mom or grandma wore back then. It's reversible, so you'll nd up with two-in-one!
Fabric Requirements:
Two - 1 yard pieces of 45" wide cotton fabric
Thread to match both fabrics
Optional: 8" strip of Velcro brand hook and loop fastener

This will be a three-part class to cover the pieced blocks, the applique blocks (yep, the "A" word), wool felt applique and embroidery, and lastly, putting it all together. Get a jump start on a great autumn quilt!

This is a great way to make a receiving blanket that you don't have to bind! The technique features a mitered border that looks hard to do, but it's really easy!

This is such a dramatic quilt! If you come prepared with all the pieces pre-cut and ready to sew, you should be able to make the top in this 4 hour class. This is a good one to feature those fabrics you just can't bear to cut into small pieces!

Ruby's - Here We Come!
We are on our way to our Winter Quilt Retreat at Ruby's Inn! But don't worry, we're leaving the shop in the capable hands of Shelley Bingham! She'll be at the shop during normal business hours of Monday-Friday 10 am - 6 pm & Saturday 10 am - 4 pm. Be sure to stop by and let her know how well she's doing. She's a brand new quilter!

Remember when we received this fabric in!?! Well, here's what we did with her! This quilt uses the book "Turning 20 Around the Block", 1 panel & 13 Fat Quarters! That's all! Very quick & easy! We do have kits available for $50.95. The kits include all the fabrics needed for the top & binding plus the book.

New Class Schedule
New Block of the Month - Around the World in 30 Blocks
Starts February 13th - 10 AM
2 different colorways - 30's Repros (similar to those in the photo on left) or Civil War feel (right - please note that it's not finished YET!)
We'll be doing 12 of these blocks or you can do all 30! The sign up fee is $20 which includes your finishing kit. Then each month you'll get 1 block for $2 each. If you choose to do all 30 blocks, the sign up fee is $40 and then you'll get 2 or 3 blocks for $2 each every month.
If you can't come to the shop, you can still participate. We'll mail you the kits each month. You'll pay $2/block + $0.75 postage.
Monthly Skinnies
Starts January 16th
These ever-so-cute 14" x 28" mini quilts are fun and easy to make. The monthly kit fee of $10.00 covers the class fee & the fabrics, including binding. You'll be able to finish each quilt during the class time. Every quarter you'll need the $9 pattern that has 3 months in it.
